Track Of The Day :: The Creases - In My Car

'In My Car' is just one of the many fine tracks to be heard on Brisbane synthpop band The Creases' debut album 'Tremolow', released yesterday (August 4) via Liberation Music.

The quartet - Joe Agius, Jarrod Mahon, Aimon Clark, and Bridie McQueen (replacing Gabe Webster who features in the video below) - have been heralded for a few years now as one of Australia's best new bands, though waited before unleashing this Malcolm Besley (City Calm Down)-produced first full-length after dropping their debut EP, 'Gradient' in 2014.

‘In My Car’, an album highlight, draws inspiration from 80s Brit star Gary Numan, featuring the dense guitarwork and fuzzy riffs around the key synth tone that gives a psych overtone to the track.

Having recently supported Two Door Cinema Club on tour in Oz, The Creases embark on their own five date headline tour next month. Hopefully the UK won't have to wait too long for live shows here?

Live dates

SEPTEMBER
08 Rocket Bar, Adelaide
09 Jack Rabbit Slims, Perth
15 Howler, Melbourne
16 The Lair, Sydney
22 The Zoo, Brisbane
