New tracks coming up from Down Under

Little Indie casts its ears and eyes over more of the latest sounds to emerge recently from Down Under.

ALICE GIRL - CRI

No stranger to Little Indie, Adelaide electronic alt-pop producer Caitlin Feagan drops the latest in her line of tantalizing and stylish electronic R&B/pop combined with ethereal vocals.

SEATTLE FIX - WHERE I'D RATHER BE

From the Melbourne twosome's - Olivia Puchalski (vocals, guitar, synth) and Luke Burns (drums) 'Teddy Bear' EP released last month. Sonic ambient builder, accompanied by lush guitar and swelling drums.

BLUE FOR NOON - DIANE

Following their self-titled EP in June, new dreampop delight from Wellington, NZ duo Sonya Ishimnikova and James Erwin, released last week. Featherlight vocal, soothing drum machine patters and synth rude a chill zone.

THE STIFF NIPS - SUNDAY SCHOOL

Formally known as 'Reminiscence, the Mount Gambier, South Australia grunge-punk four-piece kick off a raucous four-minutes, with a midway pace break. Energy packed and filled with a mosh pit frenzy. Grand stuff.

HOCKEY DAD - HOMELY FEELING

Windang, New South Wales surf-punk duo - Zach Stephenson (vocals, guitar) and Billy Fleming (drums, vocals) - update last year's debut 'Boronia' album with this first new single release of jagged edges and 90s influences from their new album 'Blend Inn', recorded at Seattle’s Robert Lang Studios with producer John Goodmanson (Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, Los Campesinos!).

NO SKY - MISS THE WINTER

Auckland, NZ-based grunge-gaze trio share this mellow cut recorded, mixed and mastered by bassist Shane Warbrooke. The song was penned by frontman Joel Thomas (formerly of Garden Burger) on a rainy day in Melbourne after being away from his partner and home for a time.
