Copenhagen-based duo Palace Winter have announced their return with the follow-up to their 2016 debut album 'Waiting For The World To Turn'.

New album 'Nowadays' will be released on May 4, and to precede it, Australian Carl Coleman and Dane Caspar Hesselager drop synth-pop first single, 'Take Shelter': a sparse work of piano notes, brass and synths and lush harmonies.

“It started with that beat and Caspar’s piano riff which felt kinda urban and like a place we hadn’t really explored yet,” explains Coleman. “Then that droney vocal melody just kinda popped straight into my head. I felt the urgency immediately and knew it was a keeper. Some songs are like pulling teeth but this one was like a light-bulb moment.”

Palace Winter return to the UK in March for three shows:

MARCH
19 Reading Purple Turtle
20 London Sebright Arms
21 Manchester Gullivers
